The ultimate tips to make you quit smoking

It is not easy to quit smoking. Agreed. Your will power is the primary and a very strong reason that will play the most important role in helping you stop smoking.

Here is a quick guideline that will ensure that you take one of the most significant steps towards it.

•    Why do you want to stop?
Make a list of all the reasons in the world that you have for stopping this habit. Refer to this list day and night and keep it with you always. This will remind you of your objective and stop you from picking up the cigarette again.
•    Set a précised date for stopping it. And STOP completely. According to many researches, it has been concluded that people who gradually decrees the amount of smoking, have almost the same nicotine levels as all those who smoked regularly. Therefore, this idea of slowly cutting out the smoking is not a profitable one as it will never serve the purpose.
•    Let your friends and family know of your decision.
If you know of anybody else who also wishes to quit smoking, you can even talk to them about it and try quitting in a group, rather than trying alone. Friends and family provide a very good support to you.
•    Throw away all your lighters, cigarette packs, ash trays etc.
You should have a situation such that even when you feel the need to start smoking again, you do not have the necessary items with you.
•     Get ready to face some withdrawal symptoms.
As you quit smoking, you are certainly going to experience various withdrawal symptoms such as feeling sick, anxiety, irritability, headaches, craving, etc. Such symptoms are a sign that your body is missing the nicotine that it was used to. They will start easing out in 3 weeks to a month’s time.
•    You can expect coughing.
It is quite bad coughing that smokers experience when they quit smoking. This coughing makes them feel bad and they are almost tempted to begin smoking again. You need to resist this temptation! The coughing will decrease eventually.
•    Know of all the situations that you are likely to smoke
Especially the times like when you have a drink. You should ideally avoid drinking alcohol when you have recently stopped smoking. Also, don’t go to a pub. Instead have tea or coffee and drinks lots of fresh juices and water.

Once you try with complete dedication and will power, there is no reason that will stop you from being successful in quitting this habit.
